Management Team![]() Erik Otto - DirectorErik Otto has had an extensive career in broadcast, graphics, visual effects and high-end computing. He studied economics, physics and applied mechanics in Germany. Mediaproxy has taken leverage of his many years of experience in management and software development to cement its position as the market leader in broadcast monitoring and compliance logging. Erik has also founded XDT Pty LTD, a member of the 'XENON Technology Group', specialising in custom software development for Film and DI workflows.
John O'Halloran - Head of Software DevelopmentJohn's career in broadcast and video technologies started after studying Engineering at Melbourne University. Working in television operations and video editing, he was prompted to move into broadcast software engineering, developing digital effects software for Ampex, Axial and Grass Valley in the USA. His work from this time forms the basis of motion tracking technology, underpinning current 3D/2D systems around the world. He has since been the principle developer and architect on such things as TV station on-air automation systems, ingest and playback technologies for commercials via satellite distribution, watermarking technologies and compression systems. His areas of expertise and special interest are digital compression, watermarking, digital distribution, speech-to-text technology and dimensionalization.
