LogServer ASI

Enimga LogServer ASI for DVB & ATSC compliant broadcasts

Based on our globally successful solution for professional broadcast monitoring and logging, LogServer ASI offers simultaneous recording and streaming up to hundreds of ASI based TV channels.

With continued growth in multi-channel terrestrial, cable, satellite and direct-access distribution (DTH, web etc) environments, broadcasters are moving to multiplexed signal distribution for both to distribution head-ends and the individual end user.

LogServer ASI allows for ingest of these signals in their multiplexed transport formats. Program streams and associated sub-streams can then be either automatically or selectively recorded in both WMV or native MPEG formats. In comparison to traditional baseband solutions, this unique path offers recording of actual transmission data and a true representation of broadcasts.

LogServer ASI allows for access to all metadata present in the entire transport stream and hence a much richer logging and monitoring experience compared to the significantly smaller amount of meta data available in baseband solutions.

Logging via ASI or IP presents a tremendous opportunity, eliminating much of the traditional hardware infrastructure and providing IP routable distribution of program streams. LogServer consumes these stream sources directly from an ASI or IP source, logs and re-purposes media without intermediate processing.

In addition to encoding standard Windows Media clips, LogServers can optionally record either the full multi-program MPEG transport stream or subsets in Blue-ray compatible format.
