FOX NE&O LA purchases LogServer ASI
Providing efficient environmental solution & multi-purposing opportunities Melbourne, Australia, November 8, 2011 - Mediaproxy Pty. Ltd. announced that Fox Networks Engineering and Operations (Fox NE&O) has purchased Mediaproxy's LogServer ASI for its compliance recording requirements. A total of 78 channels, consisting of Fox's broadcast and cable networks including all Houston originated feeds at Fox Sports, will be recorded directly from various ASI sources in its Los Angeles facility. The new 'green' solution is based on leading-edge blade-server system architecture, providing an environmentally efficient solution at a greatly reduced form factor. In addition to providing easy access to broadcast materials for compliance delivery and enhancing quality of service, media will be recorded in both broadcast quality and proxy formats for repurposing in various departments. "We have been working with Fox for some time refining LogServer's rich feature list to meet their stringent environmental and technical requirements", states Erik Otto, CEO of Mediaproxy. "What we are delivering is a perfect solution to the compliance monitoring requirements of a major broadcaster for today and tomorrow while also keeping it green." The highly reliable LogServer platform provides 24/7 SD and HD multichannel recording and live monitoring of video, audio and real-time data sources. Contents may be reviewed and managed 'long after the event' for legal and commercial compliance requirements and competitive analysis. Mediaproxy's leading edge user interface allows for extensive search, export and content retrieval across multiple distributed servers. In addition to traditional baseband sources, the unique LogServer engine also supports multi-program transport stream sources via ASI or IP, providing powerful options to log both proxy and native MPEG formats in parallel. LogServer greatly enhances content management and QoS whilst lowering overall operational costs. About MediaproxyMediaproxy Pty.
